Mackinac Island, Upper Peninsula & Lighthouses
September 8 - 13, 2012
DAY 1 ..... Travel to Detroit. Arrive in Allen Park for our overnight. Dinner and Lodging at the Best Western Greenfield Inn. Visit Henry Ford Museum.
DAY 2 ..... An enjoyable morning is planned as you visit Greenfield Village. In the afternoon depart for Mackinaw City and cross the 5 mile Mighty Mac bridge to St Ignace, where we will stay for 3 nights.
DAY 3 ..... Breakfast at the hotel this morning. We then board the ferry for Mackinaw Island and upon arrival tour the island via a horse drawn carriage. Lunch will be at the Grand Hotel. Ferry back to the mainland for dinner and then a visit to the Kewadin Shores Casino.
DAY 4 ..... Breakfast (included) at the motel. Depart for Whitefish Point to visit the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. View the Whitefish Point Light Station - the oldest active lighthouse on Lake Superior. Lunch at the Tahquamenon Falls Brewery. We then travel to Sault Ste Marie, with a stop at Point Iroguois Lighthouse. Dinner cruise and a narrated tour through the Soo Locks. Return to motel afterwards.
DAY 5 ..... After breakfast (included) at the motel, we check-out and travel to Frankenmuth. Enroute we visit the Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse. Lunch on your own along with shopping time before going to Bronner s Christmas Wonderland. After checking into our lodging we have dinner at the Bavarian restaurant.
DAY 6 ..... After a continental breakfast at the motel we depart for home.
Tour Includes: Transportation, 5 Nights Lodging, 5 deluxe continental breakfasts, 2 lunches, 4 dinners, and admissions to above attractions.
Price Per Person: $830.00 Double, $790.00 Triple/Quad, $1020.00 Single.
Deposit of $100.00 per person due at time of reservation. Payment in full 4 weeks prior to departure.
